Water
Access to safe, sufficient water and sanitation are recognized as basic human rights. It is estimated that 1.1 billion people do not have access to clean drinking water, and approximately 2.4 billion people do not have access to sanitation. It is predicted that by the year 2025, two-thirds of the world’s population will lack adequate supplies of fresh drinking water. Water-rich countries enjoy taking daily showers, water the lawn or laze about in the pool, it's easy to forget that fresh water is a life-or-death issue in many parts of the world.
Bottled Water Bottled water creates mountains of garbage and causes other major environmental problems. The bottled water industry has created a misconception in the United States that bottled water is cleaner, safer, and healthier than tap water. In fact, both regulation and enforcement of bottled water safety is weaker than of tap water safety. http://www.foodandwaterwatch.org/water/bottled/
