Bethany

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange ongoing support of a local organization known as the Interfaith Shelter Network, revealed that more time and assistance were needed to help people get on their feet when transitioning from a shelter. After careful study, preparation and picking up best practices from various shelters, the Bethany ministry was developed. In February 1997, Bethany welcomed its first resident.

Bethany assists women in transition from a shelter program to independent living. Bethany’s mission is to guide, to challenge, and to empower women in transition to achieve independent living and self-sufficiency, while providing ongoing support of “Bethany Beyond” to women who complete the program.
