BenefitsThe Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange offer employees an array of benefits to enhance their opportunity to balance work life and home life. Benefits become effective the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Selected benefits include coverage for eligible dependents. The following benefits are available for full and part-time benefited employees:Medical Insurance Flexible benefits program offering a choice of HMO and POS comprehensive plans. Available to employees and their eligible dependents. Dental Insurance A choice of DHMO and PPO plans that include diagnostic and preventative care coverage, restorative care, and orthodontia. Available to employees and their eligible dependents. Vision Insurance Provides vision care coverage through VSP for periodic eye exams, lenses and frames with low co-pay. Available to employees and their eligible dependents. Prescriptions Included in medical coverage. Prescription drug coverage with $10 co-pay for generic, $25 for name brand formulary medications and 3rd tier for non-preferred brand medication at 40% of the drug cost ($30 minimum / $60 maximum co-pay). Available to employees and their eligible dependents. Flexible Spending Accounts A voluntary plan that enables you to set aside a portion of your pay through payroll deductions on a pre-tax basis of up to $5000 each year to pay for health care and dependent day care expenses for you and your eligible dependents. Life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment Employer paid basic life, accidental death and dismemberment at 1 times annual salary with minimum $30,000 and maximum $50,000. Additional supplemental coverage for both plans is available at fixed amounts up to $1,000,000 at low group rates. Dependent Life Insurance Voluntary plan offers coverage of eligible children (up to $10,000) and/or spouse (up to $250,000) at low group rates. Long Term Disability Employer paid basic plan providing income protection of up to 50 percent of base pay with a 180-day waiting period. Employees may upgrade coverage to 60% coverage at low group rates. Plan is integrated with other coverage, i.e. SDI or WC. Group Legal A voluntary, low-cost plan for access to a variety of personal legal services. Paid Time Off (PTO) Accrued on a bi-weekly basis. Accrual increases with years of service. PTO is available for use for vacation, personal business or illness. Paid Holidays Includes 8 paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Presidents Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The following are benefits offered to all employees:401(k) and 401 (a) Two plans to help plan for retirement. The 401(k) allows for tax-deferred employee contributions of up to 50% of annual income within IRS limitations with employer match after one year of service and 1000 hours. 401(k) – match is 50% of the first 2% you contribute. The 401(a) is entirely employer funded based on years of service – 3% (1-5 years), 4% (6-9 years), 6% (10 years), 7% (15 years), 8% (20 years), 9% (25 years), 10% (30 years plus).
